Macora is free software you run yourself. There is no service to sign up for and no account to lose — these terms cover the software and this website.

GPL-3.0, and that governs
Macora is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3. You may run, study, modify and redistribute it under that licence. Where anything on this page appears to conflict with the GPL-3.0, the licence wins — the full text ships with the source.
These terms add nothing to the licence for the software itself. They exist because Google requires a terms page for applications that request Calendar access, and because this website is worth a sentence of its own.
Pre-alpha, provided as is
Macora is in active development and is not finished software. It can crash, lose window state, or fail to start after an update. It is currently developed and tested on a single hardware configuration.
The software is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You run it at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own backups.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the authors and copyright holders are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the software or its use, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise.
Google Calendar
Connecting a Google account is optional. When you connect one, you authorise Macora — running on your machine — to read and modify the calendars of that account on your behalf. What it stores and where is described in the Privacy Policy.
Your use of Google Calendar remains subject to Google's own terms. You can withdraw Macora's access at any time from Settings → Online Accounts or from your Google account permissions.
Macora cannot restore calendar data you delete. Deletions made through Macora are performed against Google's API and are as permanent as any other deletion in Google Calendar.
Website and changes
This website carries documentation and downloads. It sets no cookies, runs no scripts and tracks no visitors.
These terms may change as the project matures. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date at the top. Continuing to use Macora after a change means you accept it; if you do not, the remedy is to stop using it — and the licence still lets you keep and modify the copy you have.
